Corporate and Private Ownership:Private ownership is funded simply by advertising. Therefore Private ownership's is more able satisfying the company shareholders rather than the public’s interest. as private ownership doesn't get funds from the TV licence they rely on other ways such as product placement, competitions, film and box office income. Many companies are corporate and privately owned.

Global Companies: Global companies are companies that oversee a vast series of products such as time Warner or Disney. they make massive amounts of money from all their films/shows/merchandise and other.
Vertical Integration (owning properties in different sectors):Vertical integration in the film industry is a process through which the various steps of film production are controlled by a single company. This is aimed at empowering the company in the industry. Disney is a good example for this as they have taken several properties.
Horizontal Integration / monopolization: horizontal integration is that it happens when two or more companies which produce the same or similar goods or provide the same/similar services merge together. When all the producers of goods/services merge, they create a monopoly. as well as Vertical integration, Disney have a very strong monopolization because they purchased Marvel as well as Star wars.
Funding Types:

Subscription: a subscription is where you pay monthly or yearly for a service to view it unlimited times as the subscription is still running. Companies such as netflix and amazon prime use subscription service.
One-off payment to own product: one off payment to own is purchasing the likes of a DVD or magazine. since you've purchased that item you can watch/read over and over. Dvds exist for nearly every film and are sold.
Pay per View: pay per view is paying a fee in order to watch one specified event such as a sports match. this is better than subscription because you only pay for what you want.
